Hanna Seyal, at the age of 25, has spent the last 10 years of her life closely associated with the work of her father. She is also a LUMS alumnus, graduated in 2014 with a BSc. Honors in Anthropology and a minor in Psychology and since then, has been a vital team member for Verita. Hanna has worked with over 500 teenagers and young adults on matters of self-esteem; issues of trust; relationship building; body image problems; stress and anxiety; and ways of dealing with peer pressure.
She has authored a number of blog articles on various topics which are often presented through the platform of Verita, such as parenting, self-discovery, emotional control, health and wellness, generation gap, marital issues and many more. Hanna also co-heads Vi-Heal which is an Integrated Health initiative under Verita, with her husband, Dr Arsalan Shahid.
Hanna and Dr Arsalan tied the knot in 2015 and now share their lovely bond with a beautiful baby son, Zakariyya. Also through her experience of natural pregnancy and delivery, Hanna explored many new dimensions to health in Pakistan for women in particular, and is currently working on another project, Vi-Birth, to guide expectant couples for natural child birthing in a world where human intervention has become unavoidable.
Dr. Arsalan Shahid
Dr. Arsalan Shahid is an M.B.B.S. Graduate of Wah Medical College (University of Health Sciences), currently specialising in Orthopaedic Surgery (FCPS-Ortho). He has a Diploma in Hijamah Cupping Therapy. He always had special interests in critical care management and emergency trauma care. He has worked in multiple tertiary care hospitals as a House Officer and a Resident , namely P. O. F. Hospital Wah Cantt, Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (P.I.M.S.) Islamabad hospital, and latest working in Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore as a Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery. His passion is to integrate all forms of healing, natural, ancient and new, into one holistic approach, The “Integrated Healthcare”. He has been working with Verita as the Head of the Health and Wellness department, conducting workshops on different forms that health and therapy take; performing one-on-one counseling sessions for patients of all sorts of diseases; and offering Hijamah therapy for countless individuals.
